How is there even an argument? We're not talking opinion, we're talking fact. Bama has a bigger football program than FSU. This isn't debatable, no matter how hard mattz tries.

Exactly. I don't think Jimbo leaves but there is no doubt Bama is the better job. FSU is easily a top 10 job but Bama is #1 right now.

I am team Genro in this thread. All of the points he made were good ones and Mattz just laughed at them.

Yeah, but I already know you are an idiot...so actually makes sense you would agree with him.

Bama is only a better job than FSU if you can meet the fanbases expectations year in and year out. It's as simple as that.

That might be true but with the money, facilities, history and recruiting pipeline they have any really good coach should be able to step in and keep it going....kinda like what happened at Oregon this year when Chip left. Like I said FSU is an amazing job and I don't think Jimbo would leave but there is no doubt in my mind that over 90% of coaches would choose Bama over FSU if they were offered both jobs.

ETA: This applies to the current landscape of CFB, in the past FSU was a better job and it may be again in the future.

If recruiting is your main aargument, then Bama isn't a better job. FSU is one of the easiest schools to recruit

tend to agree. If you're a "special" kind of coach like Bryant, Stallings, or Saban... it's the best job in the country. If you're Mike Shula or Bill Curry it's probably the worst.

And let's just clarify since mattz has spent this entire thread obfuscating. I never said FSU wasn't a great program. It's a top ten program and there's no disrespect. I never said he would leave just because Bama is Bama. And by "good chance," all I meant was good chance. That doesn't mean it's a lock or even necessarily likely. But there's a good chance.

Its not my main argument but it is one of them. Obviously Florida has shitloads of talent but FSU has to compete with Miami and Florida. Also, Urban has been pulling a lot of talent away from the state and so has Bama and LSU. Right now Bama gets pretty much ANYONE they wan't and that isn't the case with FSU at the moment.
