Hopefully they hire Les Miles so he can run that program into the ground.

You're a tad delusional in your view of the your program. Bama is the number 1 program now. The second Saban leaves it will fall down multiple pegs to the rest of the pack. You will not hire a coach his equal as there are none. You will not hire a recruiter his equal as there are none. The program in of itself is not what is selling kids right now, it is Saban winning NCs and more so putting them in the nfl. You only need to get to a certain point with finances and facilities... Unless you're Oregon and facilities/Nike is essentially your identity. Jimbo has returned fsu to the doorstep of being a juggernaut, he's not making a lateral move to be the guy after Saban.

Good post. Also, most of the top coaches will not want to follow in Saban's footsteps. One rule in coaching - never follow a legend. Bama will get a good replacement but not nearly as good as their fans think.

Um. What?

Alabama has won as many championships the last two seasons as Florida state has won in their entire existence

So what i took away from this thread is that he doesnt think Shaw would leave Stanford for bama but Fisher would leave freaking FSU for bama...makes a lot of sense

Shaw would probably be my number one, but I doubt he would ever leave Stanford for Alabama

What is down syndrome esq? A down syndrome attorney?

Thanks for that, and thanks for proving my point.

Shaw is a Stanford man. Fisher has ties to Alabama.

Alabama fans have supplanted LSU fans as the most annoying on this site.

What ties does Fisher have to Bama, besides having worked with Saban?

He coached at Samford and Auburn, which definitely means he has always dreamed of becoming the HC of Bama. Plus Bama has the best tradition and fans and Bear Bryant. What don't you get?

Saban has ties to Texas from when he was a DB coach for the Oilers, he's besties with Mack Brown, and he has been photographed wearing a Texas sweatshirt, so there's a really good chance he becomes the next HC of Texas.

I am team Genro in this thread. All of the points he made were good ones and Mattz just laughed at them.
