Delpit Chiassion and Vincent didnt look soft to me

They're only soft when they stay in Texas because the culture of the universities is the same as TXHSFB. You can get it out of them when they leave the state.

ETA: I mean just watch this video from practice drills at LSU and A&M. Texas is soft as frick Twitter

High School football in Texas is now all spread, soft arse football. Sure, youll have your ones and twos that are defensive specialists, Jamal Adams, but for the most part they don't play defense anymore over here.

And that's with Chavis at both places and several LSU players in the video were from Texas. It's the culture that has them all soft as frick

Such a dumb statement. Every U wants Texas talent.

Saying Texas football as a whole has become softer because of 7-on-7's doesn't mean the state doesn't still produce some great talent, nor does it mean that there arent physical players coming from Texas.

There have been debates for years about how 7-on-7 is great for skill development, but hinders the overall physical nature of players. Some think that's a good thing due to player safety. Either way, the statement still holds as many coaches would agree, the physicality of Texas HS football as a whole has declined due to 7-on-7's.

It's hilarious. The LSU guys are throwing each other around and you can hear their pads pop. The a&m guys are slowing down at the point of contact and playing patty cake then letting the guy go through.

IF you watched that game, you noticed Maryland was stronger in the trenches on both sides of the ball, had two QB's that were better, and were better at RB.

That said, I repeat what I said in another thread: I would take Maryland's entire coaching staff over Texas's.

Texas Tech beats Eastern Washington. I thought they still were FCS.

Its not just the 7 on 7s... Remember that letter from the Texas coach telling all his colleagues "Do not challenge yourselves and play IMG".

I think that's part of it. They embraced the spread a long time ago and underdevelop trench positions and don't breed toughness.
