One of the bigger tournaments for the PGA this season.
Some big names are struggling.

Dechambaeu still in Rythm.
Westwood turning back the time.
Garcia leading for the first time in awhile.
Spieth in the hunt for the 5th straight week.
Lowry looking like his 2018 self.

Round 2 should be even better. 17 was a brute in round 1. Expect the same.

I heard Xander, Dechambeau, and Dustin as names frequently. Guess Xander is out of that discussion now. Curious to see what Bryson does, this course won’t let you overpower it.
I think Dechambeau struggles a good bit.

All of those guys are capable of winning in modern golf. It’s now just work out and hit it as hard as you can and muscle it out of the rough and leave 15-20 foot putts most of the time, and occasionally drop one within 10 feet.

Then the PGA listens to the whining of the players and trims the rough back.

Gotta love Sergio. At least he's always true to himself.

DeChambeau just put his advantage into perspective there.

Par 5, HAVE to draw it off the tee. Many players are overdrawing and hitting a tree on the left, instantly ruining their drive that’s lucky to go 200.

Morikawa hooked a 3 wood into the trees.
DJ slapped a 4 iron for position.
Dechambeau launched a fricking WRECKED drive over all the trees and everything that landed nicely in the fairway 6 miles ahead.

Na hit 3 balls in the water on #17 & hit his tee shot in the water on #18. I wonder if his caddy was sweating?
