I'm actually kinda upset about this.
A couple years ago I wanted him gone when he threw his bitch fit in the minors, but he turned into a clutch sub.

I’m not totally surprised. I figured something would happen with the Torreyes pickup. Now I’m interested to see if they non-tender Russell.
Also, I would love to get DJ back. Gold glove at 2nd base and a good OBP guy at the top of the order.

Dj would be an awesome pickup, especially since my Harper hope is dying slowly.

Where are you seeing this? I've only seen them throw out his name. They said there's no concrete evidence that is connecting the Cubs to DJ.

Theo will fill the leadoff spot with a 2B i think. He’s checked in on DJ and Dozier already I’ve heard.

Russell tendered a contract. It'll be interesting to see if he plays again or if they're just doing the prudent thing and holding him until they can get something/anything for him.

So with Brandon Hyde going to Orioles and all the talk about needing leadership, it just makes too much sense to make David Ross the bench coach. I'm curious if he wants it...I would think so.
