Maybe I’m staying in different hotels than most, but I haven’t paid for hotel WiFi in like 10 years, maybe more.

I hope the $0.00 in expenses the NCAA incurred end up as a proposed write off.

What fricking dump doesn't offer free WiFi?

Dunkin' Doughnuts gives you free WiFi.

Your local library...

Shite, I hope these players are getting this new Channel called HBO.

Man HBO cornered the market on crappy motels:

I’m so tired of the “free labor” narrative.

Jay Bilas is the worst one.

The upper end hotels actually charge you for wifi. It's the dumbest thing, but if they are staying at Marriott's or something, they actually did something for the players.

The upper end hotels usually do have paid WiFi but I’ve never been to one where they won’t give you the password if you ask at the desk

You’d be surprised by how many Hilton brand hotels still charge for WiFi. Nickel and dimers.

The tweet is 3 years old. Online outrage culture really brings out the most emotional responses from people

It’s actually the opposite. Crappy hotels offer free WiFi to get regular travelers to stay there.

Nice hotels that are geared towards business travelers know that people who travel for business will just charge it (and in theory should be faster and more reliable)

But it’s mostly about getting more $$$ from businesses and those staying at nicer hotels

The funny thing about pay-for wifi at higher end hotels...is that it is usually problematic, slow, shitty wifi.

The “free WiFi” comment was stupid and ill advised, but this Bilas quote is bullshite and a false narrative.

The VAST majority of NCAA scholarship athletes get substantially more than they give under the current system. Like probably 99 percent of them.
