The rest are in the link, I've lost the will to copy/paste all of them.

Whats interesting to me is the 5-12 games played on campus. I'd almost rather my team fall into this category just for the thrill of experiencing the atmosphere of a playoff game in your home stadium. Some interesting match-ups that would have generated

2019 Florida at Wisconsin
2018 Penn State at Notre Dame
2018 LSU at Georgia
2018 Florida at Michigan
2017 Penn State at USC
2016 USC at Wisconsin
2015 Florida State at Notre Dame

The idea of playoff expansion right now is fricking stupid.

The reward of being a top 4 seed is missing a home playoff game? Sounds sus af

Read that based on first 7 years B1G would have had 20 teams in and the SEC 19. OSU may have gone back to back in 2014/2015 as they were riding pretty good after blowing the Sparty game, but overall the same teams likely emerge right?

SEC: 19
ACC: 12
Big 12: 12
Pac-12: 11
AAC: 5
Independent: 2*
M-West: 1
MAC: 1
Sun Belt: 1

My only issue with this is the insistence on doing neutral site games. Have the National championship be at a neutral site. Other than that, let the college campuses have a true playoff experience.

The quarters absolutely need to be home games. The Semi Finals as they are are already sparsely attended compared to what games of that magnitude should garner.

I cannot imagine how sparsely attended a quarter final game will be especially when some teams will have fan bases potentially making back to back to back to back trips if they make a run. Even the top 4 seeds will have to make back to back to back one week notice travel plans plus their conference championship game. It is totally too much for fans and it's already a strain on them as it is but we're sort of plodding along barely treading water on most of the semi games as it is. This is clearly a TV money grab that will further dilute the sport.

This is a great argument for why expanding the playoff is fricking stupid.

4 team playoff hasn’t proven much so expand it to prove less?

Pretty sure the quarterfinals and semifinals will be the New Years Six.

No argument from me on that. I'm a fan of the playoffs but regionalize them first, take 4 16 team conferences and play semis/finals in those conferences, then 4 team playoff. Everyone in the top 16 has a chance, and if you lose, ehh you aren't the best team in the country

However, I've said a ton that no one cares what the rankings are after the top 5-6 currently. If they are actually deciding between a 9-3 LSU team who lost to Bama/Auburn/UF but beat UGA and A&M or a 10-2 Indiana team who lost to OSU/Michigan and has no good wins, there is absolutely no reason to have Indiana ahead of LSU.

re: The last 7 CFB seasons in a 12 team playoff
Last year's Oklahoma would have been intriguing. Lost 2 games early and went on a tear. Teams like that Im fine getting in the playoffs which is why 6 is my preferred. But I dont see the point in a 9-3 team from the SEC West getting in and thats what will happen with 12 teams

Not that's called lack of parity has nothing to do with the playoffs

The semifinals have been sparsely attended because the same four teams keep going. Everyone is tired of seeing the same Bama, OU, Clemson, Ohio State. If other teams reached the semis then more tickets would sell.

You are assuming the rankings would be the same and not doctored by the committee to achieve predetermined outcomes.

I can’t wait for the inevitable arguments over the 11 & 12 seeds.

#11 Florida loses to #1 Alabama by 17 points in the SEC Championship.

#12 Wisconsin loses by 10 points to #2 Ohio State in the Big10 Championship.

Meanwhile #13 Auburn and #14 Penn State are sitting at home watching the games.

What 2 teams get the 11th and 12 seeds?

Probably depends on who has the best excuses for their losses or the “best loss”

re: The last 7 CFB seasons in a 12 team playoff
I would rather have those arguments though, over the arguments of a 12 -0 UCF or 12-0 Cincinnati or 12-0 Utah having zero shot. It’s about perspective. At some point, a scenario had to be created that included teams like this. Either that or a complete split, but that was NEVER going to happen, so this is the best situation. BCS was awful and 4 team CFP was even worse. This is the best model NCAAF has ever used. Get used to it.
