But instead of that hypothetical, replace PG13 with LeBron and I put my money on Indiana making it out the first round. Cleveland doesn't go 8-0 with PG13.

exactly, and no one responded back to that question I had because they see how dominant the Cavs are with LeBron...

Sadly enough we can even bust out this debate. Put Curry on the Sixers do they make the playoffs? Now put LeBron on the Sixers do they make the playoffs? Obvious answers here. 50+ wins for the Sixers if LeBron is playing there. Whereas I'd say the Sixers would be a 35 win team with Curry....Curry may actually bitch out if he tweaked his ankle and be out for the remainder of the season..

How many NBA championships were won in the above Cleveland Cavs years?

I'll hang up and listen.

Key Word...."VALUE"...

Not "Outstanding"...plenty of posters are missing the point only because they dislike LeBron so much.

Probably? They'd be closer to 73 than 60. Come on.

Steph added 12.6 more wins using EWA and 8.7 using Win Shares than Lilliard. So that amounts to anywhere from 60 to 65 wins.

And Curry is the leader in value metrics.

LeBron is my favorite player of all time, and I think Curry deserves MVP.

I'm not slighting Curry in the least, his offensive talent is unmatched and he deserved the award this year, but he isn't the all around payer LBJ is. I'm not talking just numbers either, the non-quantifiable metrics are on LBJ's side.

I agree.

As I said, Curry deserves the MVP, hopefully unanimously, but the greatness of his entire team unfortunately hurts his argument in the eyes of some. Luckily we have advanced stats that can sorta, kinda isolate his production from the team and they too show that he was the best player in the league.

On a related note, LeBron legitimately deserves 9 or so MVPs, but voters get fatigued and do something stupid like the Rose MVP every so often.

You have that little faith in Curry improving a team?

How many Championships did the Bulls win without Jordan, yet the same Roster...

You can't use a calculator for everything man. Lilliard's game probably changes under Kerr but his offensive talent is still the same. There is no Probably win 60, they win more than 60 and are still the team to beat with the most talent.

As opposed to conjecture based on "feelings."

But his offensive talent pales in comparison to Steph.

I just think over the given time in GS Mark Jackson and everyone involved with that organization built a laid back culture...Steve Kerr came in and allowed that and MORE to lax things...its almost like a college team. With that + how much they trust in each other that creates winning...

Stick Curry on the Sixers he doesn't have that same bubble and doesn't have others like he does in GS to feed off of...whereas is LeBron would be in Philly those surrounding him feeds off of him and he improves them...LeBron just makes so many players from MEH, to GOOD...its crazy

The Cavs are (8-0) in the playoffs and about to play for an Eastern Conference Title... Without LeBron what is their Series Records to this point in the playoffs?
What does that have to do with your Lillard take and your take that GS makes Curry more than he makes GS? CLE is irrelevant to those 2 points.

Look at what the Warriors are doing.....Look how they are still going to be moving onto the Western Conference Finals WITHOUT Steph Curry...
2 teams combined over .500, yea they should beat them without Curry. And also, there a game 4 loss away from that not even being correct any more.
