I guess they not only write about politics now?

As this season is almost certainly lost, the Saints ownership should immediately review where the team is heading in the near future and consider making drastic changes- those well beyond the termination of favorite scapegoat Rob Ryan- from players up to management.

We don’t need another 2-3 seasons of “Diddley-Poo” play before it occurs to someone in charge that things are not going to get better with the current leadership and that the team, if not the organization, needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

This is going to break a lot of hearts, but the sun has set on the Payton/Brees Era in New Orleans, the only question is whether the franchise will be proactive in managing this unpleasant reality or burn time and money hoping that it just isn’t so.

The NFL is such a fickle fig. What if the Saints win their next two games at Carolina and Dallas? Let's not forget that heavy NFC favorites Philadelphia and Seattle are also 0-2 and good Ravens and Giants teams are also 0-2.

I don't think the Saints are as good as those teams, but this is only Week 2.

This does definitely feel like the sun is setting on this era...I think Sean Payton's playcalling has regressed and he's been figured out. I like their draft this year, but Drew Brees doesn't have anyone to throw to and they aren't effectively running the ball.

Sad start for my Saints.

By calling everyone mate, you're ruining the appeal of saying "mate," mate.

The end was 2013.

The Saints weren't any good last season, either.

Players get old and retire every year but Payton is BY FAR the best head coach in the history of the franchise. Getting rid of him would be just dumb. Way too many misses in the first round and way too many skill players taken early.

Serious question. Who has the most say over the draft? How much control does Payton have vs. the GM? That's where the Saints have fallen apart over the past 10 years. Yall have sucked at drafting. That's where teams are built in the era of the Salary cap.

I don't want it to be over, but I don't think we'll be very relevant again for a while.

And, about 10 inches about the WaPo, NYT, ClintonNewsNetwork, NBC, ABC, and CBS.

About 500 miles above PMSNBC.

I read it daily for my dose of La. politics. Don't always agree with them but I still check out the Nooner or whatever it's called.

ClintonNewsNetwork. PMSNBC.

These are examples of things that no one would laugh at here, but would get like 40 upvotes on the Poli board.

Offensive minded coaches suck at the draft. They go for the skill position players when the team needs to built in the trenches first.
