Edey + Burns and any decent guards would be tough to handle. Burns went in dry on Duke. I went to the game, guys footwork is really impressive when you see it live. He made some 5* guys look like jackasses several times today.

People remember the 1983 title but State won it all in 1974 as well, it was just sandwiched in that UCLA title run from the late 1960's to the mid 1970's. They were 30-1 that year and beat the Bruins in double OT in the National Semifinal. My dad still says David Thompson is the best college basketball player he's ever seen.

He was. He could jump out the gym. That was basically unheard of at that time.
