This is gonna go two ways, either it’s gonna be absolutely awesome or a complete disaster. Let’s be honest...it’s gonna be both

Minnesota’s visit to L.A. will be the nightcap on Christmas, tipping off at 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT. For the broadcast, Turner has decided to spice things up a bit and do something different than usual. You won’t be hearing one of the normal commentary teams to close out Christmas night, but instead something very different as the entire Inside the NBA crew will be on the call.

Yes, that means Ernie Johnson, Shaq, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith will all be in the booth together, with Kristen Ledlow on the sidelines. It’s the first time they’ve all called a live game together and it will be, undoubtedly, a beautiful disaster of sports television.

That sounds like it will be fun. But I just want to say I hate the stupid "players only" broadcasts they sometimes do.

Players only is getting better and better.

The first time I tuned in it was horrific. I enjoy the hell out of it now.

If I can survive a Bill Walton game, I can survive this. That dude straight ruined the A&M-Arizona game earlier this year.

I can actually understand him being annoying during a game your team is competing in. But for a random game that I couldn't care less about? Sign me up for some Bill Walton.

That was my feeling before that game. I don't know if he was worse than ever or if I actually cared about the game. Luckily, I won't care about this Wolves-Lakers game, so the TNT crew will be fine.

That may be the most crowded broadcast table since that one time the Angels and Mariners played at Dodger Stadium

Chris Berman and Pam Ward can do the game for all I care--as long as they don't talk about somebody's daddy.
