Cleveland Browns are invoking nostalgia with their newly unveiled midfield logo, Brownie the Elf.

This marks the return of the midfield logo to FirstEnergy Stadium for the first time since 2016. Previously, the Browns were the only team in the league without a logo at the 50-yard line.

Brownies date back to old Scottish folklore. Typically men, the elf-like creatures were known to emerge at night to work around the house and farm. They were described as being incredibly mischievous and temperamental if not treated correctly within the home.

What’s the problem with it? It’s unique at least.

In the age of renaming mascots because they hurt people's feelings did the Browns really think Brownie was the right name for 2022?

Are you 10 years old? That is from their past and was a mascot decades ago.

I kind of like it. It feels like it finally gives an identity to the team. Previously, it's always felt like the Browns were incredibly generic.

Like WTF is a Brown, beyond a color.

Much better than just the brown helmet. Winning cures all though. Start winning and your logo and name dont matter. See lakers
