15's or 7's?

I know a little about it but it's something I'm trying to watch more of.

Once you learn a little about it, it's a very interesting game to watch!

I started watching about 2 years ago and now I'd say it's my favorite sport. I have to think if Soccer can take off and become popular here than so can Rugby.

I like union (15) & league (13)

But the Olympics will feature 7's and with Americas short attention span, 7's will probably be more popular

I watched some of the 7's tournament they had a few months ago and it seemed easier to follow than union. Carlin Isles is INSANE

7's is Union. Same rules(except for kick offs) just less men on the field and the game time is much shorter.

In 7's it's all about speed!!!

In union it's all about strategy, strength & endurance

In league it's all about everything listed above

In Union against Georgia it I'd say as high as 50%.

In League against Australia, 0%.

Our league team The Tomahawks are looking good in the World Cup
A good win over Cook Islands, & Wales (the host nation) and a really good match against a very good Ireland team, has me thinking they could beat the Aussies

The Eagles (union) should outman Georgia pretty easily

None of those countries are very good though. League is like a 10th tier sport in those countries. The only places that take League seriously are Northern England and Australia and the Aussies are the overwhelmingly dominate of the two.

The Welsh don't give a frick about league. Also, the Welsh league squad is pretty bad.

Questions

So when a ruck is formed the defending team must go straight over the ball carrier to take possession?

Also can you strip the ball away when the offensive player is on his feet?

League isn't much of an international sport, not like Union is. Really outside of Northern England, Australia it doesn't have much of a following.

England and Australia are the two best because they both have a domestic professional league that all their players play in. Super League in the UK and the NRL is Australia.

My cousin played Rugby in college, but I've never actually seen much of it, unfortunately.

I'd actually like to learn more about these other sports (rugby, even soccer), because the little bits I've watch have been really fun.

There's no doubt the best League guys are from Australia
But watching the US, I can tell they're getting better everyday.

They just need to hang in there, and keep it a game

I see there will be a free live steam and it just says 1pm
Is that our time?

On a throw in I guess a foul is called if a guy doesn't throw it exactly in the middle of the two teams hoisting up their one man? Does the throwing team still try to get the ball more towards their guy?

What determines how and when a ball is thrown into a scrum?
