Does that scare USCw? OU had no players drafted in the 1st round but went all in to get Riley.

Check out the 2017 Draft for the big 12 is was one of the worst ever for a power 5 conference. Big 12 is a talentless farce.

Riley produced the #1 overall pick 2 years in a row.

And the SEC is gaining some big name doormats.

They also had a goose egg last year.

2 consecutive years without a 1st rounder from a supposed “power 5” conference

In 2017 to to they had only 14 players total drafted between all 10 teams. 10 teams, 7 rounds, and 14 players drafted.

quote:

Here’s the full count by Power 5 conference, with one interjection:

1. SEC, 53 picks
2. ACC, 43
3. Pac-12, 36
4. Big Ten, 35
5. AAC, 15
6. Big 12, 14

Pathetic. That TV contract and 2 brand name schools were they only thing propping up the Big 12. It's been dead since Colt McCoy faked that injury in the Championship vs Bama.

Losing OU and TX and adding smaller programs is going to improve this stat.

USCw expects to compete for NC's and you need a complete team to do that not just a QB.

Big 12 will be fine. UCF and UC will continue to grow and have even more resources now being in a Power Conference. Those two, along with Houston and BYU, will add a lot to the conference

Cincinnati
Central Florida
Houston
BYU
Baylor
Kansas
Kansas State
TCU
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State
Iowa State
West Virginia

That is a solid and well rounded league

No it’s not

Al the name recognition in the world won’t change the fact that those teams are a bunch of mid majors when it comes to football

I forget the exact time line but Texas went around a decade without a O-linemen drafted

It’s incomprehensible for a school like Texas to not just run into a decent o-linemen

Cincy has made more playoffs than everyone in the conference but fall on face Oklahoma.

Yes.

Cincy is more relevant than Texas in football.

You're cherry picking stats by going to 2017. In 2018, there were 23 players chosen from the Big12 with OU's Baker Mayfield #1 in the draft.

Connor Williams (in 2018?) was their first in 10 years I think it was. They haven’t had a first rounder since 2015
