I don't care how much everyone got frustrated with him, it will suck not seeing him penciled in everyday.

Well you've had a couple of years to get used to him not being penciled in everyday

This is hard to listen to. He is pretty broken up about being done.

Hope I can find a link to listen to it later.

Much better to go out like this than like Posada and basically be pushed out.

I agree Dan. This is sad. I knew it was coming, but still sad.

The best of the bunch was Greg Maddux easily.

The man was a machine attached to a baseball computer.

How do you guys feel about some the writers who tweet about the Braves? I really like DOB a lot. Bowman is solid. Schultz always gets on my nerves though. Maybe it's all the anti-Saints stuff lately.

Every Braves writer on the AJC has been a suck-arse brown noser for years.

If the Braves players and management ever had to deal with the press that NY and Philadelphia players and management had to deal with, they'd break down into a nervous puddle of goo.

I cant stand him anymore. He tweets way too much about crap I dont care about.

I heard a pretty good idea on the radio regarding Chipper yesterday:

The idea was basically that as the players take the field on opening day there should be a moment where everyone stops and his number is released with the other retired numbers out in the outfield.

That would be a pretty surreal scene on opening day. He would then play all year with his retired number displaying above the outfield. I think it would be a very good gesture.

Some talk on SNY today and Mets boards about David Wright wanting to be a Brave as Chip's heir apparent.

If he has another mediocre year, and we could get him at a discount then I'd be all for it. No chance it happens though.
