@Buster_ESPN: My strong sense is that there is split between ATL on-field staff and front office over SS situation:Uniforms want Simmons, FO Pastornicky.

In 43 AB Pastornicky is batting .140 with a .295 OPS!!!

In 30 AB Simmons is batting .200 with a .517 OPS.

They are both terrible numbers but how much better is Pastor defensively?

You don't know much about Simmons, do you?

Rated by many as the best glove in the entire minors. Could step in from day 1 and be one of the top ranked defensive SS in major league baseball.

As for the hitting numbers. Simmons started off swinging well, but has cooled off the last 3 or 4 games.

Strange that it isn't up on the main page. It isn't there for me, either.

Go to Video at the top and then to Watch/Listen and it is there.

Yeah, I got the link off the scrolling headlines, just thought it was odd, it wasn't over there cause I knew they had it today.

Simmons is a far superior fielder with a supposed inferior hit tool.

Pastornicky is supposed to be the better hitter, though Simmons has fared better in the Spring (not by much).

Pastornicky also has more high level experience in his favor (and success there).

No kidding. You are probably in the same boat as I am unless you care about the NBA.
