Jansen is pretty legit, but he's young and inexperienced and only took over the closer role at what, about mid season?
He's a guy you could get to at this stage of his career IMO, and was shaky tonight with a comfortable lead.
Probably why they put him in there.

Oh no, we suck again!
But hopefully we bounce back strong tomorrow. We should come out balls to the wall, seeing how we're basically playing for our season. If we can get a split at home, we've got a pretty good shot to split in LA and at least get back home for a winner take all (against Kershaw

Unlikely, Greinke will be better than Kershaw was tonight.
But you never know.

He was the closer last year and then had a heart problem flare up. It was some electrical (I'm no cardiologist) issue that was fixed with off season surgery. The Dodgers for some reason wanted to go with Bush League the first half of this season and were pretty hard headed about resisting going with Kenley. The decision to go with kenley may have been as important as Puig coming in with his energy.

Good thing you didn't have to update the score in the thread title with all those runs
Posted on 10/3/13 at 11:21 pm to Hugo Stiglitz
They didn't update the other game either.
No idea why people give a shite about that when it's not usually done by either fanbase.

I think I remember them saying Greinke had a lower ERA in the 2nd half than Kershaw, 1.63 to 1.89 or around there.
Greinke has been lights out.

Well, just got back from the Ted. Crowd was excellent for a Thursday night 8:30 start, some a-hole Dodgers fan in Section 421 was kicked out after starting a fight with 50 or so Braves fans, and aside from the score I enjoyed the game. Kershaw really did a number on us for sure.

I would argue Greinke has been the better pitcher the last 6 weeks.

Yeah, I posted above the Greinke had a lower 2nd half ERA than Kershaw.
Hell Greinke posted a 1.23 ERA August with a 1.75 ERA September. Insane.

I mean, Medlen won pitcher of the month in September for a reason, didn't really matter tonight.
I get that it would make your day if the Braves drop 2 at home, which is very possible, but using what he did in September to automatically assume he will be better than what Kershaw was today is a stretch.
