Anyone who throws Gattis something letters or lower and middle-in is asking for it. I'd walk him with 4 consecutive pitches 5 inches off the plate before giving him anything to turn on.

I would slide Simmons down to 8 and everybody else up 1. Outside of that though I am pleased.

Yeah I'm starting to get tired of Simmons leading off. It just doesn't make any sense to have the 2nd lowest OBP on your team get the most PAs. Even when he is on a hot streak he's only getting on base once or twice a game because he can't recognize what a ball is unless it's so far out of the zone it is unhittable. Or he just doesn't care.

Like one poster said. Wouldnt mind Heyward batting leadoff, moving Simmons to 8, and everyone else up. Especially while Heyward is taking some good swings.


That Gattis gif is awesome. That ball was crushed.
