Yep. John Daly is the last alternate to win the PGA championship I'm pretty sure.

Hes had a pretty good season so far this year. He's 7th on the PGA tour in Shots Gained: Total
Obviously hes not a favorite but hes not like Jonathon Vegas and some of those other names up there.

Scottie’s gonna win this jawn, isn’t he? -4 under now, with 8 to play. He will pick up another couple shots, finish around -6 under, and smoke some of the dudes at the top come this weekend. Homa and Fitzpatrick being up there is nice. Bryson and Hovland in contention. Rory climbing the boards, love to see it. Wouldn’t mind seeing Rham gain another couple strokes before days end.
