Barty is my favorite female player too. Extremely laid back and humble. Apparently everyone on the tour loved her. Assuming she doesn’t come out of retirement, she’s gonna be one of the biggest what ifs in both tennis and in sports. Without a doubt the top female player right now and in her prime. Gonna miss watching her play

I bet she goes and does another sport like cricket or golf.
Golf is the rumor with the most heat. Won an amateur event in Australia during Covid

Miami tournament looks good even though the biggest court is in a football field. Nakashima playing well so far against Tiafoe.

And the other courts are in a parking lot…Sheesh. It’s a damn shame how far the Miami open has fallen.
Kyrgios whooped some arse at least.

They used to be on Key Biscayne and even though the scenery was nice, the facilities were poor. Stephen Ross has pumped a bunch of money into this, so it's probably a little better for players and fans.

Yeah, 3-0 Shitsy now in the third. JJ acquitted himself nicely, though.

When you have Shitsypants to win 2-0

Kyrgios matches in best of 3 are dumb at this point. He can’t be broken. Even Rafa only broke him twice in IW, and Miami is playing faster. He was +900ish to win the tourney before today and I can’t see him being worse than about +125 vs. anyone in the field.
Of course we’ve known this for years but he’s finally giving a shite.

The first time she took a break from tennis in 2014, she played cricket.

Just when you think he's matured, he flips it on you. This time he gets a game penalty after losing a breaker. Now he's gonna be the first player ever to lose 7-6, 6-4 without getting broken.

Can't stand him. And I can be entertained and even appreciate a good tantrum. He's such an a-hole.
You're spot on about the immaturity. He's basically a middle school punk.

Then you flip it over and see Medvedev fight back to win the 1st after Brooksby was serving for it at 5-4. And he runs it up to 3-0 in the 2nd. Similar talent. Different brain.

Alcaraz v Tsitsipas is starting to heat up. I did not have a feel on this one.
Posted on 3/29/22 at 8:31 pm to Tvilletiger
I wasn't paying close attention, but I think it was 4-2 Tsitsipas, then I look up and Alcaraz is ahead 7-5, 3-1.
