He has made 78 consecutive, going all the way back to 2015. That is insane. Even for a 90.5% FT shooter the odds of accomplishing that feat are less than 0.1%. Steph Curry does not choke at the line

Just a reminder about how KDs absence drives home how steph is the real leader and is more important to the warriors

i got roasted last year by a couple of posters here when I said that losing Steph would be far more detrimental for GSW than losing KD

I totally agree with you.

Not to mention how bad the Warriors have been when Steph has been out. They're 5-8 without him this season and were 17-14 last year.

I like watching the Warriors more with KD out.

And not a Warriors fan by any stretch.

I remember their bad years...I mean, really bad...before Chris Mullen (whom I loved with St. John's RedMEN), Mitch Richmond, and Tim Hardaway....aka Run TMC.

Well we all know Steph's presence alone damn near run that offense alone. Also when he is out, the offense has has gone to ISO KD ball which just isn't as efficient.

Isn't he in like the 99th percentile in player gravity? Hes so good it hurts and people act like KD is the key piece lol

That. Is. RIDICULOUS.

He gets BETTER in the highest pressure free throw situations. Good Lord.

Modified the OP. Steph is actually a career 90.5% FT, which is the best in the league history. Not 94% as originally stated. He shot 91.6% this season, 89% 2 seasons ago, and his best individual season was his 2nd season at 93.4%. So his career percentage is not skewed by bad early years or anything like that. His playoff FT percentage is slightly worse at 89.3%

At 90.5% the percent chance of making 78/78 in any situation is 0.04155%. Holy crap he is clutch

Btw the percent chance of Shaq, a career 52.7% FT shooter, making 78/78 is 0.0000 000000 00000 00002%

Well I wouldnt have roasted you and whoever said that forgets Steph won 2 before KD showed up... and he is about to win a 3rd without KD or a 4th with him. Doesnt really matter how that’s said.... Steph would be there for all 4...

Wow
KD is amazing but Curry is absolutely one of the big reasons GSW is on their run. Him, Klay, and Draymond are the real nucleus and they'd still be competing for titles without KD

KD has obviously been great for them but Curry is the one main anchors for that team.

And Steph making 78 straight is about equivalent to Shaq making 12 straight.
