he is the best “pocket pass” in the league. He got a guy who can’t do nothing but set a screen and roll ( capela) 20 million a year.

ESPN stat maven Kevin peloton just released his WARP for the season to date. Harden is #4 in the league. If you didn’t know any better you would think the rules changes has impacted his effectiveness.

Curry is now the leading scorer in the league. He's average a Lebronian 29 points, 7 Rebs, 7 Assist. MORE than Harden, MORE than Durant. Steph Curry doesn't get the 95% usage rate that Harden gets, nor does he get calls, nor does he play as many minutes. Steph is far more efficient, and is 10000000x the leader that Harden is. Switch Harden and Steph and the Rockets have at least two rings. Put some respect on his name!

Hate to break it to ya, but hardens Ts% which was supposedly inflated due to his free throw hunting, is now above his career average. So much for a rules change making him no longer efficient.

20pt
9assts
>60% TS

how many players do you think have done that in league history?

Prob JH and CP and that’s it.

FYI there are a lot of “per minute” advanced stats out there. Harden is ahead in all of them. Granted not as much as the ones like WS and VORP where hardens durability has made any comparison laughable….

We can all agree that Harden is struggling this year, but Durant is actually having a slightly better statistical year than Curry by most measures. Of course, wins matter the most, and I think Steph is a better teammate than both of the Net stars.

It will be interesting to see how both teams progress throughout the year with Klay coming back and such.

Steph once again shows why he's boss. Down 81-68, Steph Curry outscored the Cavs 20-8, hitting as many FIELD GOALS as the Cavs scored points. Additionally, with 1:30 left, Steph had outscored EVERY OTHER PLAYER 20-18 in the fourth quarter. Do you see Harden doing that? I know the Cavs are trash and are missing half their team, but Curry has hit 9 threes in four out of six games (and exactly nine - he missed #10 tonight), and 8+ threes for the fifth time. Steph is playing BETTER at age 33; like Tom Brady, he gets better with age. Can't wait for Steph to hit 500 threes this year (gonna shoot 1,000+ plus threes - absurd). Sorry Boom, it's just not working out for your boy.

Little ave, Harden wouldn’t be Down 13 to Cleveland. This scenario reminds me of the year russ won the mvp for hitting game winners against the leagues worst teams. The rockets were blowing the same teams out so there never was a need for the heroics. It was silly then and it’s silly now. you don’t get boosted up for beating bad teams last minute when you should have blown them out.

You're right, they'd be down 25. The Warriors were blowing every other team out, so this argument doesn't hold. The Warriors played like trash, but Steph still shot 50% for those three quarters, then showed why he's the best in the world. Look for him to drop another 40-45 tonight with 10 threes. Harden couldn't even DREAM of being this efficient. Harden is a great player, so no shade thrown at him, but Steph is on another level.

Steph and the Warriors continue to dominate; Steph is about 44 threes from becoming the all-time leader in three-pointers made. He will have broken Ray Allen's record in about 580 fewer attempts (Steph is 2930-6775; Ray Allen was 2973-7429) and 510 fewer games. It's hard to believe that James Harden has MORE three-point attempts than Steph (6871 to 6775), but has hit 431 fewer threes (2930 to 2499 - Harden has played 115 more games than Steph). Steph owns Harden in every facet, especially without refs.

I watched Steph score 53 in person in New Orleans and it’s one of my favorite sports memories TBH

His shots look even more insane in person than on TV

Steph was off in Game One, but I guarantee that he'll go off on Friday. He shot a Harden-esque 4-21 from the floor.
