Is Spoelstra the most disrespected coach in NBA history to help stroke LeBron’s ego and false GOAThood?

Guy has now taken teams to 6 NBA Finals despite injuries the last few years abs one tier 2 superstar in Jimmy.

Narrative was always that LeBron never had even half of a Phil Jackson level-coach and carried Spoelstra to his titles. Most underrated coach of all time perhaps.

I was impressed by his comments after the last loss. He seemed focused and confident. I liked what I saw from him.

The Heat were only hampered because Wade is about the worst complimentary star to pair with James and Bosh.

He has become an amazing coach for sure. But to say he was at this level when Lebron got there is silly. Carlisle and Pop outcoached him during the heatles tenure.

I once worked out on the elliptical machine right next to Spo at the Wisconsin Athletic Club. Cool dude the Heatles were staying at the famous Pfister Hotel in downtown MKE

Wait, I thought it was LeGm from those days right just picking a pawn coach he could talk over ? So is LeGM the best GM of all time for finding an unknown like Spoelstra?

Ty Lue and even Mike Brown have seen their coaching reputations rehabilitated in recent years. People act like LeBron's coaches were random dudes they found off the street who did absolutely nothing but let LeBron do whatever he wanted.

I can’t believe he got that team to respond after the Game 6 loss. That’s coaching. Yes - super underrated

He's never won coach of the year. They won like 26 straight back then and he's doing it now with undrafted guys and old heads.

Probably should of won it last year with the 1 seed.

Spo is a terrific coach. But let's not overlook this. He had to work to get to this point.

He shite the bed in 2011, and he was easily out coached both final years against Pop.

But he learned, and got a lot better. Credit.

DWade and Shaq, then THE first Big 3. Thing at that time was that the East was so dogshit that your son’s 8 year old tee ball coach with that firepower was going to the championship regardless of what they did.

From the last 3-5 years, could not name you a person from the Heat not named Spoelstra to save my soul. Dude may actually have been a major part of not four, not five, not six, but seven.

I'd say there is probably a long list of coaches who have been outcoached by Pop at some point in their coaching career.
