I remember a segment on him back when he was skinny, like 120 pounds. Wow time flies...

Awesome moment for him

Why are people even saying he was off.

You want the snap to go to the holder and just in front of the place...

You don't want the snap to go over the kicking point so the holder has to reach for it and maybe fall down,

That's why they call it the place-holder...you snap it to him and he places it...you don't snap it to empy space away from where it might be out of his reach or go awry. He snapped it right to the guy who places the ball. How is that a bad snap? Damn, some people love to hate on everythign.

I give his story five cries up, I love/hate stories like this. I admire the man for doing what he loves and not being hindered!

how do you get illegally blind?

Years ago, my first round draw at the Lee High Invitational was a guy from LSVI. Ref visited with me & coach beforehand and explained that all the rules were the same but I could not break contact with the guy during the match. That's hard to remember when you have zero time whatsoever to practice it.

Guy wasn't very good but I got the feeling he was sandbagging me. I remember thinking "this motherfricker can see what's going on."

He wasn't blind, he was visually impaired - the VI in LSVI. He was color blind. Coach shite a brick when he found out afterwards.

My boy thinks he is hot shite because he is a 5 star long snapper with offers from several schools.

I told him that he needs to settle down. A blind kid can do his job just fine.

Staying humble is smart. SC played a sloppy game against a returning MAC Champ who hit us in the mouth. Many fans were struggling with the intense heat. For those of us who remained in the thinning crowd to see SC put the game away in the last 5 minutes, Jake Olson getting a play in was pretty awesome. Definitely one of the coolest things I've ever experienced at a game.

On Tuesday, Pac-12 media members named Olson the conference’s special teams player of the week.
