This was actually called OPI on the field. It was overturned under review.

The fact someone could call this OPI on the field is simply mindblowing.

This challenge rule has somehow made the NFL look even more incompetent. PI is under the scope now more than ever, and that scrutiny has proven just how terrible many of these calls really are. However, the know-nothings in New York have only overturned 6% of PI challenges.

They seem to let one get overturned ever 2 weeks or so just to keep the facade up.

The overturn rate is so low I dont see why any coach would risk losing a timeout unless the game was on the line.

I feel like the NFL just added this rule to make Saints happy, but still maintain the mindset that they will trust the judgement of the field officials over video replay.

The GB HC basically came out and said this after losing 2-3 in the first few games. Said he didn't know the threshold to overturn and wouldn't waste anymore TO's trying to find out

Richard Sherman shoved a receiver in the back and there was no call on the field. The Cardinals challenged and amazingly it was overturned.

Which has shown time and time again to be awful.

I've said for a few weeks now - the NFC Championship call would not be overturned based on the precedent established this season.

If they overturned the one in your OP, then I have to believe they’d correct the most egregious blown call in NFL history.

It's almost like the new rule was just a PR stunt to try to limit fallout from the no call in the NFCCG.

I hadn’t paid a ton of attention to this topic but when they didn’t rule pass interference on the Ravens on DeAndre Hopkins this past Sunday, I determined the whole thing was useless.

the refs are making serious bank betting on the games and then rigging them to get paid off.

it cant even be denied anymore even by the most naive
