So TaxAgs/Liucci looking into using website subscriptions to fund player NIL....

He was on Jordy this morning saying he's looking into possibly using the 1/4 million members to contribute to compensate players. Saying one would a portion of subscription and/or a donate option for members.

Not sure but he did say he would use interviews as a part of payment structure.

This is straight up pay for play, which is the concern people had with NIL. Kinda like saban saying Bryce Young signed 1m worth of contracts but you don’t hear about any of the company’s using his brand in promotions, which is the whole point.

What Liucci is talking about is strictly a way to funnel booster money to players and entice recruits. There is zero practicality in paying a player five figures for an interview you could get for free during media availability.

This is subscription for the sake of subscription.
This is subscription combined with funneling money to players in an attempt to keep LSU competitive.
