Soccer says hello.

Not true. Soccer games are usually postponed due to bad weather like snow.

In the NFL they play the game whether there is a ton of snow on the ground or there is a layer of fog covering the field where you can't see 10 feet in front of you.

Maybe in little league. Pros play in shite weather all the time. Do they even have sunny days in England?

ETA: This was a recent World Cup qualifier...

Are you trying to say that what we saw in the snow was "quality" or are you just randomly quoting me?

I can go to google right now and pull up a bunch of professional soccer matches across Europe that were postponed due to snow.

I agree with Stephen A on this, regular season is one thing but playoffs and especially Super Bowl should not be decided by who can play best in a blizzard or hurricane. We want to see who is the best on a normal playing field

The mix of indoor / outdoor, warm / cold climate ball is part of the allure of watching.

Outdoor football > indoor football

I disagree. It's one of the things that makes football unique. Rain, shine, sleet, or snow, the game will be played.

You don't want the Super Bowl champion decided by who is luckier. You don't see who the better team is in those conditions but who is the luckiest.

Yeah lets play the super bowl like the Penn State vs LSU game. That game didn't decide who was better but who got luckier.

The problem is that so many teams are built for the cold weather. They literally put their rosters together to play in a cold climate. If its part of the regular season then it should be part of the post season...period! The same argument could be used in college football. Some rosters in the B1G are built for OCT/NOV football. When these teams go to their bowl games, they arent prepared for the heat. These warm weather and dome teams arent built for the snow/cold. What do fans from warm weather cities dont get about fans who love cold weather cities?? I wont go to a Browns game until NOV/DEC just because i hate going to games when its hot. All i hear is

I agree with this. The Super Bowl should be played in a warm weather city... But the playoffs up to that point is play under whatever conditions they have that day...

There is merit to both sides of this argument

Southerners are quick to point out that teams from the north can't deal with the humidity etc in the summer/fall, so should we get rid of that too? It's the same argument on its head.

I think there are strange things that happen in the cold, when it is windy etc. But I kind of like that. It neutralizes the passing offenses, which is kind of what "old school smash mouth" fans like, but that is not what the NFL is today.

I think the CFB playoff could see a title game in the north within the decade, since from what I've read "all" cities can host. A NCG in Beaver Stadium or at Camp Randall on Jan 7?
