Congrats Mudbugs. Bringing the Robertson Cup back to Louisiana.
That's NAHL Junior hockey. Just won the Natty up in Blaine, MN against the Aberdeen Wings.

The NAHL is better though. You get legit prospects.

There was a time long ago when I attended some Mudbug home games and even listened to road games on the radio. Hard to believe I really did that.
Some folks are still pissed about the 2004 Laredo screw job in game 7 of the finals. Screw Laredo.

I enjoy listening to Tim Fletcher interviewing the Mudbugs' players.
They are universally likeable young guys who are working hard to try to move up.

While we’re at it the Shreveport pirates CFL team was entertaining and the old double AA Shreveport captains had some damn good teams

Great stuff!!!! This is a really fun brand of hockey. My Dad & Iike to go to MB games. And yes, the Hirsch is the perfect venue for this. For people screaming that there’s never anything unique to do in the SBC, this is fun for Family. Plus they have ice skating after games & also offer Youth League hockey.

Never heard of hockey in Shreveport and don’t know much about “junior hockey”. Is the team a bunch of Canadian teens?
