Instead of no-name minor leaguers or has-been MLB players? Look at our roster for the olympics. A bunch of unrecognizable players and a couple of former big leaguers.

Obviously our best players cant play due to them being in the middle of the season. But the best college players will absolutely make it to the bigs one day. Imagine a team full of Jake Leiters and Dylan Crews. Would be a much better product on the field.

Those minor leaguers are better than Crews

This would have already happened if the WBC had taken off more

The roster they have assembled would wipe the floor with college kids, big names or not.

Does it matter? Baseball has been dropped as an Olympic sport and is only being brought back in this round because of Japan’s history with the game.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will have breakdancing instead of baseball/softball. But baseball will be back in 2028.

You act as if most of the country would recognize college baseball players (they wouldn't).

Isn’t high level college baseball roughly equivalent to Double A in terms of quality? Looks like Olympic roster has players with MLB and Triple A experience

More like high-A IMO, if we are talking about the upper echelon of college baseball.

I think AA has quite a bit more top shelf talent.

A college all-star team might be almost on the same level, but not any individual college teams.

Sound right. People do get called up from Double A

A lot of those AAA guys on the Olympic roster have been in the big leagues before as well.

You’re a fricking moron. The best guys in AA/AAA would beat a team of the best college players 30-0

No. The best college teams are maybe equivalent of a low A team

Nick Allen(#5 OAK Prospect FG, #3 MLB)
Triston Cases(#42 overall FG, #30 MLB)
Shane Baz(#102 overall FG, #71 MLB)
Joe Ryan(#18 TB prospect FG, #11 MLB)
Simeon Woods Richardson(#76 overall FG, #68 overall MLB)

There would have been a couple more top prospects from the qualifying round but they werent released by there organizations for the tournament.

Please speak more about baseball so I know you are 100% full of shite.
