Good deal for CC. Gives them a 4 year window coinciding w James prime to make a run every year. I say they get 2. Conservatively.

Dude. Bro. Dude my bro. Ariza was huge for the Rox. He shot the 3 at a decent clip and allowed you to switch more on defense. Now you're without a starting caliber 3. And now you think you'll win 2 titles?

You are fricking delusional.

The Rockets will be fine. We have no idea how all of this will shake out by the start of the season.

Ariza was a good role player for the Rockets but I think y’all are vastly overrating him as a huge loss. He can be replaced.

Offensively maybe. You can't deny how important he was to your defense though. Especially against the warriors who force you to switch everything.

Rockets had to do it, but that contract is going to look extremely awful in 2 years when he can’t play anymore.

Yeah it's definitely not some 4 year window like some idiots on here suggest.

i tend to agree, the entire 2016 offseason is fricking us between the anderson contract and Durant being able to go the warriors.

I'll never understand why the players allowed the cap spike to happen all on one year.

No.

It's what Lakers did with another aging all star pg.
Little Canadian. Mostly on ir.

Yes to
1 yr deal for $35.4.

How sad for harden but if I, as owner or gm, could have cp3, LeBron, Capella and whomever is actually on squad for 2019 based on current deals and adding a couple of recently fa ex warriors, say swaggy p and Javelle Magee, I'd be delighted.

Yes, he was a good defender. He has lost a step though. But even still, he is a good defender. But so is Mbah a Moute, who did not play in the playoffs much at all because of his shoulder injury. He’s a very similar player.

They still have PJ Tucker and I expect Mbah a Moute to be back, so they still have two very good SF’s on the roster.

And free agency just started. There is plenty of time to improve the team. I’m honestly not upset with losing Ariza. I’m just curious as to what Daryl Morey’s plans are.

You’re acting like the roster will be the same for the next 4 years. None of us have any idea who may be signed in the future.

Good point. I should have said if you're counting on him. Being the second/third best player on your team then that would be delusional.

You don’t know what he’ll look like in a few years either.

What's more likely? A 36 year old pg with a bad knee that's missed 40 games the past two seasons not holding up or a 36 year old pg with a bad knee miraculously playing worth 70% of his contract?

Where does your thought about Chris Paul having a bad knee come from? The only time he’s missed time with a knee injury over the past 4 years was at the very beginning of this season with a bruised knee when he bumped knees.

He had a procedure done on his knee back in 2010 and there were questions then if he could ever be the same.

Clearly he’s fine as that was 8 years ago and he’s still playing as well as he ever has.

The knee thing is old and played out.

He's missing cartilage in one of his knees man. Hes a prime candidate for Osteoarthritis at some point. Father time is undefeated.

Ariza nearly doubled his previous deal.

Will toil on a so what team.
1 yr deal @$15 million.

That gives the suns 2 real starters. At 1 pm eastern time.

Yep. Congrats to Trevor. Great pro. durable as all get out. I got a feeling CC is gonna land an equal or better player with the MLE. Marcus smart, Avery Bradley, kcp, jj Redick, tyreke evans, etc. the allure of starting for a squad like CC with the track record of guys in coach D system excelling and getting paid CC will likely have their choice.
