Sure you can. The Raptors shite canned Dwane Casey after a 59-23 1st place finish. I know NBA and college are different, but if the guy isn't right, you make the move. Shaka's teams used to press like crazy and run wild and now that they're not doing it, he's a very mediocre coach.

In Baseball they did it and again look what’s happening
In Basketball the only guy that was seriously in title hunt was Rick and he was at Clemson when hired. Shaka, Penders, Abe, and Wentzel all were busts. Penders was only one of that group that even had Texas fans interested.

it takes a proven big time HC to handle everything at Texas, regardless of the sport. yet they refuse to go out and hire that type of coach. I wonder why?

That was a bad loss tonight. Upsets obviously happen, but Abilene Christian didn't even hit 30% of their shots. Texas should've buried them.

Personality of the boosters and DeLoss isn’t there anymore. Say what you want about DeLoss but he understood it was a coaches show and stay out of their way. Hire the best established one out there from a monster

Bad example. Dodds wanted Gary Barnett (he was at Northwestern at the time) and the boosters overrode him and chose Mack Brown.
