If I’m the #1 pick like Trevor Lawrence, I would tell the jets to frick off. Just like Burrow should have told Cincy, but I get it, he wanted to stay home... still what a shitty franchise to begin with, this kid could have been an MVP QB with a great system around him, yet he got fricked and has to suffer a potential career ending or changing injury, and all because the Bengals shitty fricking front office doesn’t know how to build or even attempt to sustain a successful program. I would never bitch ever again or be mad at a player for saying frick a certain team in the draft and signing where they want to sign.
If Joe wanted you to touch it, would you?
be honest, its JOE BURROW!!!

I tend to agree, but I don't know how you do it differently. Always a chance for injury. Someone has to be the guy that ended up being Archy Manning, David Carr or Tim Couch.
That said, Burrow hurts, like no athlete I can ever recall. I was/am a Broncos fan but had a similar feeling as a child when Bo Jackson got injured. I haven't even watched the play, don't want to. Sounds like it was shitty blocking.

This thread by OP is so pathetic. You should feel ashamed.
Let me guess, when Joe Burrow put his head down going to the end zone and got his bell rung by Chase Young earlier in the game, that was fine? He gets injured on a freak play and your vagisil application is needed.

Yes that's why the Knicks and Lakers never win the top draft pick, while the Timberwolves have won it twice, Portland and Seattle finished 1 and 2 in the Oden/Durant draft, Milwaukee has gotten the no.1 pick, etc.
The cold envelope was in 1984. You are talking about an event that was 36 years ago. They do the ping pong ball drawing in a room with reps of every team.

Where was all this outrage on the unfairness of the NFL draft prior to Joe Burrow?

Dude doesn't play for LSU anymore. Move on.
Just wait till they find out that the defensive lineman that fell on his leg played at Alabama. Because it was Jonathan Allen.

And they still rig the draft. It's a business. It's not a sport. All those last second 3 pointers to win or tie is theatrics. Leave the best 3 pt shooter wide open to drill the basket in the waning seconds.
Every sport on tv is manipulated, rigged, or fixed to some degree. If you don't believe that you are just being naive.

Nah. It should change the way organizations handle prized draftees though. If you draft a player like Joe, that you view as the franchise, and you know you have a shitty oline, either sit him until you get a good one or call short quick passing routes so you avoid getting him killed until you have a decent line.
