Seriously. This Burrow injury should change the way players get drafted.

If I’m the #1 pick like Trevor Lawrence, I would tell the jets to frick off. Just like Burrow should have told Cincy, but I get it, he wanted to stay home... still what a shitty franchise to begin with, this kid could have been an MVP QB with a great system around him, yet he got fricked and has to suffer a potential career ending or changing injury, and all because the Bengals shitty fricking front office doesn’t know how to build or even attempt to sustain a successful program. I would never bitch ever again or be mad at a player for saying frick a certain team in the draft and signing where they want to sign.

If I was running the NFL I would start a lottery system like the NBA

So, should you not play your franchise QB until the team can build a great offensive line? Injuries happen, dude.

The whole idea of rewarding the worst teams with the top picks is asinine. Why should losing ever be rewarded?

They drafted linemen for 2 straight seasons prior, I believe. The Bengals also made the playoffs 7 of 11 years from 05-16 while in the AFC North, so saying they can't sustain success is laughable. They're not the Browns.

I’m just saying, the #1 pick in the draft deserves a lot fricking more than the shittiest team in the NFL... it is what it is

Exactly, the tank is fricking out in New Jersey for the Jets this year. You think they give a frick about winning another game?

I agree, the NFL is all about money if I'm Burrow I say no to the shitty bengals and try and go where I can succeed and build the longest most lucrative career possible

What do you suggest is better? There'd be a bottom-dweller that stands almost no chance of getting better.

Make it public. Do the lottery live instead of in a fricking room that nobody can see the top teams...

Ostensibly, to create parity.

I agree that it is not ideal, but I'm also not sure what would be better. Certainly not the opposite system.

I wouldn’t play another down for Cincy if I’m Burrow

I think with the Bengals it's more than just the Olinr. Carson Palmer straight told Joe the owner just doesn't invest that much nor cares.

That's a huge red flag and should be grounds for pulling an Eli/Elway type move.

Did you only have this problem because Burrow was the QB injured? Did you mind when Luck went to the Colts or Winston went to the Bucs? How bout Mayfield to the worst franchise in the NFL over the last 20 years?

Exactly why Joe should never take another snap for Cincy. Tell them frick off trade me after I’m done rehabbing in 2 years

I’m sure it’s all about money - keep the losing teams’ fans engaged.

I get that flipping it would result in a few superteams, so it’s probably best to just randomize.

Draw every other year, reverse order in the off years.

Yea I also thought it sucked for Jamarcus Russell to go to the Raiders when they were all fricked up as an organization, Luck wasn’t a clear cut #1 that year, but I thought RG3 deserved better than the redskins that year as well. Yes absolutely, I’ve been thinking this same way for a long time. Now it happened to my favorite kid, and I’m pissed, and I would be pissed if I were him or his dad...

Don’t blame the draft on the bengals ineptitude
