Spurs haven’t been a contender in years. Pop will never get another ring. He will not even make the finals agin. CHris Paul coulda went there. He rather come to Houston. And now we see why. Well i knew all along. Now people like you see why he chose CC over the spurs.

I underrated Houston

homer?

They are better than I said they would be preseason this year and last year too.

I said 4 seed last year. They were better than that.

Said 3 seed this year. They better than that.

Said top 10 defense. They are 4th.

Spurs win a mere game in WCF...WHEN HAS THAT HAPPENED? I can tell you. It’s been a lot longer than the last time HOU won a game in the WCF.

Your last title was in ‘95 don’t act like the Rockets are some upper echelon of NBA culture. They’re not and your dear leader Harden hasn’t really done shite to change that. And since you like “sample size” so much, the Spurs at least have a title since Harden joined the Rockets in 2012

They have not even won a game in the conference finals....

safe to say that is a bare minimum for being considered a contender. To me it is at least. You may have a more liberal definition of contender.

injury is an excuse for Harden being blocked by Manu

but can't be the same case for Kawhi actually missing games?

Injury was never an excuse for being blocked.

He was up against the game clock. A double team. And the sideline was right there too.

You coulda blocked that shot literally.

And that’s their proudest moment of the last three seasons.

1. More recently than the spurs
2. We didn’t call HOU a true contender the last couple years so it’s moot anyway.

at this point in this season is he playing better than Lebron. YES

This is equivocal and arguable, LeGOAT leads ALL players in those categories I presented and is darn near averaging a triple-double on 58% shooting on the 4th best team in the Association, obviously you're going to minimize LeGOAT's accomplishments thus far with your "games played" bullshite but stats are stats bro and the eye test relative to LeGOAT agrees with those stats. All you rely on is turnover % and WS/48 to make your case which is so weak when my case is a point-forward who can play and guard all 5 positions and is still a viable defender, not the lockdown like he used to but analogous to Earl Thomas in the football context. You're advocating for a guy who's simply a two-guard who's never played defense remotely at a high level. You've been served.

Basketball's a team sport bro, the only time you could truly argue he "failed" was in the 2011 Finals against the Mavs which the MJ lovers LOVE holding over the LeGOAT army's heads but to act like LeGOAT's the only great player who "failed" in a championship series is disingenuous see Tragic Johnson 1984 Finals

So it's better to not even make the Finals and be eliminated early than to advance to the Finals and at least have a shot? GTFO this site

Michael was also better at not even making the Finals for 9 of his 15 NBA seasons which means he spent the majority of his career at home when other teams were battling for the ring, if that's the only argument you got that's SOOO weak cmon Peej you can do better than that.

When harden in on the court. His team outscorea the opponent by 13 pts per 100 Possessions.

When Lebron is on the court. His team outscores the opponent by a mere 3 pts per 100 possessions.

Quite frankly Lebron stats are nice, but harden is wrecking the league at a near unprecented level. and that’s the difference. The stats mention are awful close and can go either way. Where harden sets himself apart is in the W column.

Oh and at last glance harden was the best iso defender in the league. So the defense BS is just that. And his team is better on D than Lebrons. Lebron CAN play D better. But he has to prove it.
