Saints making him an offer was stupid to begin with. they had their starter and future back.

Made no sense

Saints found out the hard way that you can never have enough running backs. Regardless, we absolutely didn't know how to utilize him at all, or maybe he legit had nothing left, so get a pick when you can.

The way they used him in the opener was highly questionable.

That game 1 offense was a hot mess.

i feel really bad for AD the way his career has gone. So many wasted years saving Cristian Ponder's trash arse.

So much potential, and it feels like it is coming to an end.

Also, if you are a running back past your prime. You head to Arizona.

Hopefully he gets more carries than he can shake a stick at.

No. They had their starter and they were not 100% sure what they had with Kamara. With Kamara now being a pretty sure thing, Peterson is pretty useless now. I can't criticize what the Saints did with Peterson....they got him for cheap and he was an insurance policy. Now that they don't need him, the fair thing to do for all involved was to trade him to a place where he can be used and the Saints will get a pick in return. Sounds like a win-win for everyone.

Wrong again.
AP was signed before the draft.

They signed Peterson before they drafted Kamara.
