If you toss him a good prompt, he's fine. He has no natural flow though.

Give him a season to get the kinks out and to drop the 'aight' and he would be fantastic. I'm sure ESPN can't wait for him to retire.

And tone down on the hand gestures a bit.

I'm sure they want him to be Corso's replacement, which is funny since I can't see him doing the mascot head pick at all.

Well no shite. A great coach knows a lot about the game. Imagine that?

He’s one of the brightest football minds of all time. Of course he’s good at analyzing it. He’s analyzed more football than he’s slept in the last 40 years.

The aights and hand gestures ain't going anywhere.

That's just Saban and he's not changing it to appear smoother on tv.

Saban wouldn't dare be a full time Gameday panelist. He would be a great addition to halftime for ESPN's new SEC coverage in the next few years.

No, no no. He would be a Bill Waslh who was in the booth and fans hated him.

Dry, overly-analytical (he would keep talking about the previous play through the next play and the next play/)

Being a color man is about charisma and timing of which Saban has none.

Average Sunday football fan doesn't want to hear a seminar about the Cover 2 and how to attack it, they want to watch football and be the armchair QB...not someone tell them what to think.

Bill Walsh dissected plays and nobody wanted to hear it because it went on forever and he was dry and boring like Nick.

Something similar to the ABC pregame and halftime role Mack Brown used to have would make sense.
