No way in hell would I play again if I were him..

I doubt he plays again because of physical limitations.

If he’s able to play again, he definitely will. I’ve always read about how much he loves the game.

He's lucky he is able to stand up. I don't understand how love for a violent game can overpower the love for the ability to stand and walk. Or breath on your own.

Hopefully he plays again, if it is what he wishes, but a lot of his game is predicated on his speed/agility.

I would retire and maybe ask for a front office job with the Steelers. No way do I risk being paralyzed or hooked up to a breathing ventilator.

The only profession he's ever had has been football, probably terrifies him to think he'll never play again

If he gets back to full strength, is he at any added risk of a similar injury compared to other players?

It's hard to think past tomorrow at 25, especially when you only know one thing.

There was a Bills player who suffered a severe neck or back problem a long time ago. I think he was paralyzed briefly. But doctors performed an operation and he wisely never played again. I think the NFL or Bills gave him a job so he could still be involved in the game.
