With the playoffs on the line, you let Drew Stanton beat you...in your own house. MVPs don’t lose to Drew Stanton.

Brees has been doing it for years and hasn’t gotten an MVP.

Not just that but he had, to start the year, unknowns at WR. He has Baldwin and a TE that, as he’s aged, isn’t as willing to make th necessary catches over the middle.

Stats look nice if you only bring out the good stuff. Sure he made plays scrambling around but he fumbles a lot too. 14 this year. Yeah, he ran for 550+ yards, but he lost over 300+ yds for taking sacks.

Is he a good QB? Yeah. Is he an MVP? Nope. I mean he’s not even the best QB in the league. Would anyone take him in a must win game over Brady, Rodgers?

Heck, Mathew stafford has a good year this year throwing for 4500ish yds 29td, 10 int. And Lions hadn’t had 100 yard rusher in a game since 2013. At least Wilson had Beast Mode for a few years, along with a dominant defense and Pete Carroll. What did Mathew Stafford the last 2 years? A bunch of broken pieces and Jim fricking Caldwell. Lions have the same record as Seahawks at 9-7. But no one is pushing for a Stafford MVP because he doesn’t make the exciting that Wilson does. So don’t we me the “he has no support” angle because he’s not the only one.

It's not like he's taking sacks because he's holding onto the ball too long. He literally is getting pressured from the instant the ball is snapped

I'd love to see the actual yardage he has run this year running side to side and back wards to get away from the defense.

What does that have to do with MVP? Or what does that have to do with simply appreciating what an incredible year he had with a dog shite supporting cast

You're using Wilson's team talent of the past 5 years compared to Stafford's last two to make a case for a 1 year MVP award. Literally none of that makes sense.

The defense was trash, Oline was even worse, and the skill position were dreadful. The fact he was able to put up those numbers despite all that is hella impressive.

He’s really doing most of the heavy lifting out there in Seattle.

MVP award is most valuable player. It’s not the “do more with less” award.

Look at MVPs past winners. They were on contending teams and they had gaudy stats. To me that’s Todd Gurley(my prediction), Wentz (before injury) and that SOB Brady this year. Wilson have the stats but his team is crap. Maybe it’s not a fair game, but That’s the name of the game. The “should be” or “if this” or “maybe that” don’t go into determining the award.

If Seattle gets into the playoffs, Wilson probably gets MVP.

As it stands, there is no difference between Seattle with Wilson vs Seattle without Wilson.

Well, maybe one...they may be looking for a new head coach without Wilson.

Rodgers has the crappy defense, no run game angle pretty much every year, and he gets into the playoffs.

Wentz was the clearcut MVP before injury. He led the league in TD passes coming into Week 17, when he hadn't even played in 2+ weeks.

I’ll take “Stats that no causal fan like me would have guessed” for $1000, Alex.

He had a damn great year. I don’t think he deserves it over Gurley, but he should get some votes. If you can’t recognize how great he was this year with what has become a quickly declining roster, you just aren’t watching much football, or you only base the MVP race on the overall success of the players’ team.
