Does Gary Sanchez have a chance?I know he's only going to have played in about 55 games but his stats have been amazing.

Fulmer is the favorite.

But shite, if Sanchez gets to 25 homers, he may have a pretty great argument. Dude is unbelievable.

Hard to imagine giving it to a guy who didn't play before August, but I think a good case could be made for Sanchez. It's him or Fulmer.

45 games after tonight I believe.

ETA: Fulmer should win it IMO.

To win a lot of the awards and what not you have to qualify w/ a certain amount of PA's per game. 50 or so games is nothing in an MLB season and a guy going on a tear for a span like that isn't unheard of.

Look at Mazara's start in Texas this year. Dude was hitting like .330 or Ian Desmond.

Just my $.02

That's right and assuming no playoffs the Yankees will have 11 games left after tonight.

My man Chris Devenski. Starter turned long reliever turned shutdown artist.

104.2IP 74 hits 1.98ERA .202 batting average against

As a reliever: 1.35 ERA 51 hits in 80 innings.

He won't win it but he deserves some love in the voting.

In all fairness, Mazara was pretty hot before the All-Star break.

I was reacting to the Ian Desmond part. Maybe I misunderstood?

I think he was saying that like Mazara, Ian Desmond was on a tear in the first half, and then he went back to being Ian Desmond. Not that he thought Desmond was a rookie.
