1 hit and struck out 2... the Astros are thinking of bringing him back to a 40-87 team next month

Actually 3.1, but still impressive for a 50 year old. Didnt expect him to go too many innings, but didnt think he'd be pulled after 37 pitches. He hit 88 on the gun.

He wants to pitch next year so it's a perfect opportunity to get some innings in before next season.

Plenty of time for the Stros to stock their steroids supply cabinet.

Roger should juice. Has nothing to lose, everyone already thinks he cheated.

Everyone already knows he cheated.

Alot of dumb in this thread.

Some of you seriously think he is dumb enough to juice after all the court procedures he has gone through to defend himself. Satchel Paige must have been on some heavy shite when he came back.

Roger pitched well against an Indy League lineup...generally those are made of washed out major leaguers or high school studs who never stood a chance in affiliated ball.

The same Jason Lane that was a position player?

Why not? He's gotten away with it so far

Legally...yeah...

but not in the court of public opinion.

Which matters to him more?

and for a guy who really wants to get into the HOF, he wouldn't do it while having the scope so squarely placed upon him.

All these people saying he has nothing to lose...I think he has nothing to gain.

And I am pretty sure the contract was a one-day deal with the Skeeters.

They had one of the BALCO guys on Cowherds show last week and I thought he made some pretty interesting claims about drug testing.

He said to get caught with the system that is in place you have to be dumb or dumber.
He said they only test when the player is at the ballpark, so as soon as they get done with their game, they rub some cream on their wrist, elbow, or back of the knee. This shoots up their testosterone and helps heal and rebuild all their muscle tissue, he said 6 hours later testosterone levels are back to normal, way before the guy arrives to the ballpark for even an early game the next afternoon.
