Watched that dude wrestle Mid-South in the 80’s. Dude was 70. Wonder if the RONA got him?

He had both his legs amputated because of diabetes. Been fighting that for a while.

quote:same here. He was just a country fella from Mississippi, but they came up with the character and he embraced it. I really enjoyed interviews done with him recently. He just seemed like a friendly guy with a happy outlook on life - and he had both of his legs amputated. There's always perspective.

6'6" 340 when he was in his 30s. It wasn't the rona. But James sugar bear Harris was a good man by all accounts.

The wrestling business is extremely exploitative.

Watched him several times back in the day in the Centroplex. Good times

When I was a kid my dad would sometimes burst in my room slapping his belly and splash us because Kamala was his favorite Mid South wrestler. Went to many shows at the Y and Hirsch in Shreveport, and the Centroplex in BR when we lived there for a year.
