This would be huge obviously and makes a lot of sense.

The addition of USC makes the B1G much more attractive to Notre Dame now.

This will be the next domino to fall, perhaps very soon.

Notre Dame's GOR to the ACC in everything except football is locked in until 2036...It would be interesting to see if they can break that

I hope the end result is football only conferences and then smaller conference that make more geographical and competitive sense for other sports.

I assume they would have outs in that deal if a massive conference upheal is happening, such as now.

Also, the Big Ten would likely take them football only if they had to.

Could they do B1G football and ACC everything else, til 2036?

I think they do it. They can still schedule Navy every year and play Pitt, and BC as non-conference games often and keep rivalry games with Purdue, Michigan State, USC, and Michigan.

I assume the Big Ten would be fine with that.

That would probably force the SEC to add UNC and Virginia Tech. Would be the best remaining play as far as geography, brands, and media markets

I also don’t see how Oregon and Washington don’t end up in the B1G

LATimes is reporting no other Pac-12 schools are getting taking "at this time" for whatever that is worth. Certainly could still happen.

This is NOT true.. not for football. Notre Dame wouldn't have to pay a penny to leave the ACC. They would have to pay fees to leave for the other sports...which, they will still come out WAAAAY on top by joining the B1G. The PAC and ACC are done. B1G gave ND 24 hrs to decide. This should happen very quickly. Then Oregon, Washington and Stanford. Wheels are in motion. Getting USC in the B1G was key for Notre Dame to get on board.

Plus, if the ACC desolves (which will happen), then ND doesnt have to pay a penny for anything to leave.

They were always too good for the B1G with their national recruiting and TV deal. Rocket31, where you at?

Their "just the tip" arrangement with the ACC was weird.

I’m all in. The next 63 days to opening kickoff are going to fly by because of this conference realignment drama.

And just like always, the day before kick off we'll find out that Memphis was left out again. Story of my damn life.

Then it would make sense for Stanford to come as they then keep the USC and Stanford games. Add in the service academies and Notre Dame keeps all of its historical rivalries (Michigan and MSU being the other two).

Add:
Notre Dame
Stanford
Oregon
Washington

You get to 20 teams and have a west coast pod so a lot of the travel issues go away.

Somebody in another thread said their states have them locked into Washington State and Oregon State.
