News is starting to break on Alabama message boards and social media. He was the "patriarch" of the Bill Parcels-Bill Belichick coaching tree. He was also an All-American WR at Alabama in the 1960s, catching TD passes from the likes of Joe Namath and Kenny Stabler.

He also played for the Colts when they went to Super Bowls III and V.

RIP.

Never stood a chance at Alabama being the one who immediately followed The Bear.

I just watched the 1987 Saints/Tampa Bay game on YouTube Monday. It was the game that clinched the Saints first playoff birth. Mora coaching against Perkins. It was Vinnie Testaverde first start for Tampa Bay at QB.
