Remember when Porzingis bet on himself and took the qualifying offer?

Damn, probably a boxer's fracture.

He'll never play basketball again.

I refuse to believe this because the Knicks never make good moves

The Knicks will acquire him back for Zion or some shite

The Mavs choosing to go after Kristaps by mortgaging a portion of their future is one of the worst moves of the season imo. Dude is made of glass, and the Mavs just rushed the Luka timeline.

This feels like something Demps would have done.

How does that rush the luka timeline? Isn’t Porzingis under 25

I mean...you know the season doesn't start again until the fall right?

He has like 20 weeks to heal.

So we should just not try and improve?

We traded our entire team away barring Luka and likely still weren’t bad enough to keep our first round pick. I’d rather try and win and strike out than stand pat and 100% still suck arse.

A 19 and 22 year old don't have to rush anything. That's a laughable take honestly

What? Would you say Nerlens Noel for Holliday was a bad trade too?

I’ll give you Porzingas is fragile but hes going to be better than 99% of this draft. On top of that Dallas stealth tank job still likely keeps the pick.

Trading DSJ wasn't mortgaging the future. The dude had turned into a massive cry baby and straight up quit playing b/c his feelings were hurt that Luka was better suited to be the lead ball handler.

That trade alone didn’t kill the Pels, but the philosophy behind it did.

People get so sensitive when you say something they don't want to hear. Dallas traded an unprotected pick and a top 10 protected for an injury prone 7' 3" beanpole with a ton of upside.

Dallas also bailed NYK out financially and opened up a second max slot in an offseason where there's an absolutely loaded FA class and Dallas has tons of room. Not saying it will matter, but they just increased their competition for free agents this summer.

Homers gonna homer though. This move is a slam dunk, can't miss, bonafide steal for the Mavs.

Yeah and it'll take just over a month in a cast then like a couple days of a sore wrist and he'll be fine.

A boxers fracture is nothing more than an inconvenience.

Let's see the x Ray's

I broke my hand on someone's forehead as he slumped against a tree after a couple of decent shots. *

It was years before I didn't notice it.

He can't practice shooting.
Hoops requires very fine muscle memory. He can't dunk safely. He can't block safely.

It's huge.

* Yes it was a Savage move but he was 4" taller, 20 lbs heavier and he started it.

Good news is he will develop left hand dribbling and a baby hook from the left.

I broke mine on a concrete wall and after I got my wrist stiffness worked out, it's never been an issue.

I got a boxer’s fracture playing basketball at 29 years old. Surgery with a tiny plate & screws but healed fine. Think I was playing again after 2-3 months.
