I have no idea what you're looking at in that picture.

Black ref was the one who initially went to pull his flag after the PI/targeting.

He was waived off by the down judge while the head ref looked on.

This was the black refs reaction after it played on the Jumbotron. He cuts his eyes at the head ref like “wtf have we done”

It is what it is, but the biggest frustration for me, is that you have dickheads who are 30+ yards away, players backs to him, and he will call a PI call. And the chance of him knowing exactly where the arm was as ball came is 40%, but hell throw that fricking flag 25 yards for the call.

Instead of blaming 1 guy, where are the other assholes??? Like i said, they love making calls that are 30 yards away from them. So No one else saw a thing?

Um, the head ref isn't in that picture. #60 is the one who emphatically called incomplete and the other ref is the one who reached for the flag then didn't throw it.

He wasn’t waived off but he was absolutely looking for that guy to throw his flag because he was about to throw his too.

My father in law was an NFL ref for 13 years from 88-01. We were at his house watching the game. He said there is an understanding when calling a game that you don’t throw a flag into another ref’s zone unless you’re 100% sure the other guy was out of position or couldn’t see the foul. The black dude knows that’s a penalty. He just didn’t have the backbone necessary to overstep a 16yr veteran official in that type of moment.

eta: Hell, it looks like even the black ref isn’t buying that guy’s shite in that pic.

Video of his reaching for flag at 4 seconds

Best screen cap of hand going toward flag (more obvious in video than this pic). His hand is on his flag on his waist band. If you watch the video the down judge rules incomplete and the black ref follows the signal.

Sean Peyton’s reaction to down ref who called it off. Notice his ignores the black ref

The down ref later says the ball was tipped on the sideline to Payton and pats his back.

The problem is it wasn’t reviewed for that and Payton is pissed

Waiving your hands twice with an incomplete pass gesture before a flag is about to obviously come out isn’t waiving off in your world?

No wonder you’ve been so wrong in these threads

There is a video a couple of posts above. Watch around the 2 hour mark and keep watching. That’s where I got the still shot

Pretty neat how everyone in the picture is looking at #60 with a "are you fricking serious?" stare

Of course not. And how the hell would he know a flag is about to come out? One guy waving incomplete does not prevent someone else from throwing a flag.
