I sunshine pumped those Astros through the off day and they delivered. Big time players from the 17 team (Springer, Altuve, Bregman) delivered huge, with the best pitcher in baseball shining once again.

Osuna looking damn good last night could be huge for the next series. Need Press, Osuna and Harris to be good going forward. Should feel good about having Grienke, Verlander and Cole for 6 games. Get 6-7 good innings out of them 5 times and win 4 of those games. If we can pull off a Game 4 gem then so be it

How was it last night? Crowd seemed lit for the most part outside of the billion pitching changes slowing the game down

I have a double digit playoff win streak but I’m not sure I’ll be able to attend any ALCS games so I hope you’re able to with your winning history

@RoundRockTim I just realized Hinch used Tucker to PH as a strategic move to force Cash to use his last LH reliever. This move prevented Cash from having a LH face Brantley in the 8th inning and we saw what happened there. As it turned out this was a brilliant move by Hinch. #Astros

In this age of sabermetrics and analytics, I believe the standard righty/lefty matchup tactic is way overplayed. More often than not, the manager uses it to cover his arse so the media won't drill him if he doesn't bring in an available lefty to face a lefty.

That's straight up false, considering they brought in McKay, who is a lefty reliever, in the 8th inning after Alvarez walked... which is of course after Brantley homered.

I don't tweet, but maybe Astrosbaw should let this Tim dude know.

Osuna looked good last night, Pressly did better briefly in game 4, and Harris has looked pretty good all season/series. That could be huge.

Asking for a 4 out save and/or pitching on consecutive nights seem to be the poison. If they can avoid doing one or both, then things should go well. We know Will Harris is dialed in for this postseason.

Asking for a 4 out save

I know they have to fill air time but I really feel like the talking heads ignored this part and said “oh the Astros bullpen is in trouble they can’t trust osuna”

He was filthy in game 1 and was filthy in the 8th with traffic on to finish the 8th and then he had to sit for a decent amount of time and come back out without having done that this season.

Glad he got the shutdown last night to not have to sit on that talk going into the alcs.

I'm giving some credit to PJ and Ryno for last nights win. PJ picking the Rays to win and Ryno's offseason thread played a huge part. Thanks boys.

I won't be there... I basically live in Braves country.

If they beat the Yankees I'll seriously consider heading to Houston for a game or two.

The only thing last night that wasn't enjoyable was AJ and Girardi. Both are fricking awful. Especially AJ. Dude is a brainless pussy. I also don't like hangovers, but I'm cool with the one today since we won.
