Almost every time a QB slips away from a sack he throws or runs for a first down. Like 99% of the time. And every time, the announcer acts like he pulled off a magic act.

I know what you mean but 99 is kinda high unless you're talking bout Russell Wilson.

More than likely you only notice that QB slipping away from a sack whenever he makes a play after wards, thus your percentage is skewed.

For what it's worth, when a QB slips a tackle of a defensive lineman in a normal man coverage play, it's literally like a hole in a net. Nobody at the secondary / linebacker level is even looking at him.
