it's kind of funny how the QB focus of the league has led to QB salaries to explode, which makes the QBs on rookie deals super valuable...if you have a good QB scouting/development department, it's almost a good long term strategy to just recycle young QBs over and over

and for teams like the Browns, i've argued for years they should be investing in rookie QBs over and over again b/c it's not nearly as expensive to cut the ones that don't work out with the new rookie scale. invest till you hit and ride that 4-5 years

The only problem is that this makes perfect sense so the browns won't do it.
