If Georgia vs Bama goes down to the wire and there's a bunch of one loss teams behind them, shite will get insane.
quote:

“Nothing precludes it,” College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock said, according to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald, before a weekend that included Penn State and TCU suffering their first losses. “Our charge is to pick the best four teams, period. There are no restrictions on that. I wouldn’t be surprised if eventually we will have two teams from the same conference. When that might happen, nobody knows. It’s certainly way too early to speculate this year because there’s so much football to be played.”

11-2 SEC Champ LSU
12-1 SEC Championship game loser Georgia
11-1 Alabama

Oh great...

The old "eye test" is making a comeback.

Conference champs? Meh

Top resume? Meh

SOS? Meh

Then why have conferences or different schedules?

Lets just all play each round robin 125 games per team.

Conferences have disparate schedules with each team...this brings in way too much bias and hocus-pocus subjectivity and computer bullshite and all that nonsense.

When the NCAA first expanded their basketball tournament there were 16 teams.

All Conference Champs. This was decided on the court. It took away subjective poppycock and tomfoolery.

Why can't CFB just admit all conference champs of the P5 and one at-large?

BCS was so much simpler and less room for any bias.. just expand the bcs to the top four teams. Most years I think it’s been identical in terms of the four teams in, but a lot less work..

Letting a committee of retards pick the four best teams is stupid. They should have kept the bcs and just used 1-4.

fans are fickle as hell....I remember the can't let a gd computer decide who's best blah blah blah

now after a panel of people who supposedly can use common sense...god damn idiots on the panel just let the BCS do it

How is there less room for bias when there were only 2 teams? That got us LSU/Bama rematch over Okie St who had a much better resume. At least with 4 teams Okie St would have made it.

BCS was 2/3 a subjective vote.
Same problem exists with the committee as existed with the BCS. A bunch of people are trying to convince me that what I just saw on the field is not real/ valid because of their metrics and superior watch ability.
If team A bears team B and they have similar resumes- team a is just better

There should be a clause that if you don’t win your division, you can’t be in the playoff. It’s not right to ask anyone to beat a good team twice in one season.

Ya

Should be strictly computers

It would encourage everyone to schedule difficult games

"All conference champs" is one of the lowest IQ arguments there could be

Any difficult ooc would stop immediately. No incentive to risk injury

Goodbye Bama fsu
Goodbye UGA Notre dame
Goodbye Ohio state Oklahoma
