PFF 2023 Quarterback Rankings

Quarterback is the most important position in football, so there’s no better position to focus on when it comes to offseason rankings.
With NFL free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft already in the rearview mirror, each team’s quarterback situation is just about resolved at this point. Rookies and injuries leave a few situations up in the air, but these rankings will focus on ranking the player who figures to start the most games for each team, even if they aren’t necessarily the Day 1 starter.
quote:
1. PATRICK MAHOMES, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Mahomes is the standard by which all NFL quarterbacks are now measured
2. JOSH ALLEN, BUFFALO BILLS
If Mahomes is the obvious starting point, the next two spots are a toss-up between Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow. Each player is capable of elite play and outstanding levels, but the tiebreaker is Allen's rushing ability
3. JOE BURROW, CINCINNATI BENGALS
Burrow has led the league in PFF passing grade (by fractions) in each of the past two regular seasons.
4. JUSTIN HERBERT, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
This is a big year for Herbert to justify the hype that has surrounded him since his phenomenal rookie season.
5. AARON RODGERS, NEW YORK JETS
6. LAMAR JACKSON, BALTIMORE RAVENS
7. JALEN HURTS, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
8. TREVOR LAWRENCE, JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
9. KIRK COUSINS, MINNESOTA VIKINGS
10. DAK PRESCOTT, DALLAS COWBOYS
rest of the list

I could see Allen at 2 but Joe has been in the league healthy for 2 years and he's made a SB and the AFC title game. The start to his career is almost as absurd as pats.

Allen over Burrow is like having Burrow over Mahomes. It's not based in reality.

That list after like top 12 is poopoo. No wonder the league is such mediocrity

Herbert needs a big time year if people are going to keep putting him up so high.

I don’t think Goff is great or anything but seems that dude gets no respect. I know he has a great system and offensive coordinator, but they weren’t the ones who threw for 4400 yards last year.

Obviously Buffalo/Allen are really good but they don't scare me....Cincy/Burrow do...they are a problem.

Goff can't read defenses.

He threw for a lot of yards and seemed pretty decent for someone who can’t read one.

Last two seasons
Buffalo is 2-1 vs KC. All games in KC. Only win is an OT win
Cincy is 2-1 vs KC. Two games have been in cincy
Seems buffalo has been the slightly tougher test for y’all

Joe's passer rating: 100.8
Josh Allen's: 96.6
Pretty funny posting comp %'s. 63% is pretty average for the elite qb discussion.

Why are you cherry picking? Joe is 3-1 vs Mahomes all time. The Burrowhead jokes were made for a reason.

He is in burrows league, he's just not better than Joe. I don't know how many more times Joe has to beat him for you to realize that but he is. I like that you have to go to rushing stats though because you can't think of a retort to my comp % claim.

There is not
A universe where anyone can tell me that Lamar is currently better than Hurts…

Burrow had 5 rushing TD’s in 2022, Allen had 7.
Seems like PFF just fell in love with Allen’s arm strength like everyone else did and went with that.
